Barnaby Edwards
Barnaby Edwards is an actor, writer, director and artist. He has been the principal Dalek operator for the revived series of Doctor Who, appearing in every Dalek story to date. He has also written, directed and acted in various Big Finish Doctor Who audio adventures.
Barnaby hosted the Main Theatre Creators & Directors sessions (Silurian stream) and Doctor Who Uncut (Ood stream).
Neill Gorton
Neill Gorton is director of Millennium FX, Europe’s leading supplier of cutting edge prosthetics, animatronics and special make-up FX.
Neill has been the Doctor Who prosthestics designer since 2005, designing and creating some of the most iconic monsters the show has seen. He has also worked on Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures. Read more.
Danny Hargreaves
Danny Hargreaves is the Doctor Who SFX Supervisor, and has worked on every episode since 2005 as well as Sarah Jane and Torchwood and has been nominated for both an Emmy and RTS Award.
Tom MacRae
Tom MacRae is an award winning author, BAFTA nominated screenwriter, producer and playwright. He wrote the Doctor Who episodes ‘The Rise Of The Cybermen/The Age Of Steel’ and ‘The Girl Who Waited’, and is the writer and co-creator of the live Doctor Who show ‘The Crash Of The Elysium’. Tom has worked on a variety of TV dramas, and is the writer and creator of the hit comedy series ‘Threesome’. His new book for children ‘When I Woke Up I Was A Hippopotamus’, is about waking up, and hippopotamuses.
Stephen Nicholas
Stephen Nicholas has been the Supervising Art Director on the award winning Doctor Who series for the past seven years. With over eighty episodes and two TARDIS builds under his belt he continuously furnishes the Doctor Who events team and other external exhibition companies with his extensive knowledge of the show. Stephan Pehrsson
Stephan Pehrsson began his Doctor Who career on The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang — both directed by his former film school classmate, Toby Haynes. He also worked on The Impossible Astronaut, Day of the Moon, a Good Man Goes to War, a Christmas Carol and the Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe. Stephan has worked as Director of Photography on several TV series including Hustle, Vera, The Fades and upcoming drama Nemesis.
Michael Pickwoad
Michael Pickwoad’s first episode as Production Designer for Doctor Who was A Christmas Carol. One of Michael’s very earliest jobs as Production Designer was Withnail and I. He went on to design several films and series, and received a BAFTA nomination for the highly-acclaimed film, Longford in 2007. One of his last productions before coming to Doctor Who was the 2009 revival of The Prisoner. He and his art design team were nominated for an Excellence in Production Design Award from the Art Directors Guild.
Andy Pryor
Andy Pryor has been the Casting Director for Doctor Who since Rose, and has therefore had a hand in choosing the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Doctors, along with all modern companions. More broadly, he has cast and contracted every speaking part in the modern series. He was also the Casting Director for the first three series of Torchwood (and UK Casting Director for series four) and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Other work includes Trainspotting, Cracker, I’m Alan Partridge, The Long Firm, Moses Jones, Life on Mars, Shooting the Past, The Lost Prince and Upstairs Downstairs (for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Casting in September this year.)
Gary Russell
Gary Russell was one of the script editing team forDoctor Who, Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures, and the author of many novels and reference books in the Doctor Who range. A former editor of Doctor Who Magazine, he also was the producer of Doctor Who audio dramas for Big Finish Productions for eight years.
Gary will host the Main Theatre Creators & Directors sessions (Ood stream) and Doctor Who Uncut (Silurian stream).
Julian Simpson
In addition to directing The Rebel Flesh and The Almost People, Julian Simpson’s directing credits include The Criminal, Superstorm, Murder Prevention, Spooks, and Hustle. Julian’s wife, Jana Carpenter played DiMaggio in the 2005 episode Dalek.
Caroline Skinner
Caroline joined as Executive Producer for Doctor Who in 2011, overseeing that year’s Christmas Special with Piers Wenger.
Her previous productions include The Fades, a fantasy horror drama for BBC Three which has just been nominated for an RTS award for best series.
Caroline also produced the highly acclaimed Five Days for BBC One. As a script editor, Caroline’s shows include House of Saddam, The Ruby In The Smoke, Jane Eyre,Bleak House, William and Mary. She is currently mid production on Series 7, which can only be topped in the excitement stakes by the 50th Anniversary in 2013.
Marcus Wilson
Marcus Wilson was Producer for all but three episodes of series 6. He also produced the 2011 Christmas Special, the Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.
Prior to joining the Doctor Who Production team, Marcus was Producer on several series including Cutting It, Life on Mars, Paradox and Taggart.
