FREE TARDIS set tour opportunity for Convention ticket holders – book soon as spaces are limited!
Doctor Who Convention attendees now have a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the TARDIS set at the BBC Wales studios at Upper Boat. These free tours will run on Monday 26th March 2012.
On the tour, visitors can step into the Eleventh Doctor’s TARDIS and explore the set where some of the show’s iconic scenes have been shot. The behind-the-scenes team will be on hand to explain the inner workings of the TARDIS, talk about the set and of course to answer any questions.
Please note:
- This tour is available to Doctor Who Convention ticket holders ONLY.
- Spaces are strictly limited and are subject to availability.
- Please allow approximately 2 hours 20 minutes for this activity. This includes journey time to and from the studio. Please note you will only be on the TARDIS set for a maximum of 30 minutes during this time.
- Tours can be booked for any day, irrespective of the purchased Doctor Who Convention ticket date.
- Tours on Saturday 24th March and Sunday 25th March are now fully booked

How to book your TARDIS Tour Ticket

This is a working set – to make sure we have the best arrangements in place, visitors with special access requirements need to contact us before booking their tour.

Please note:
Once you have booked your Convention ticket, you will receive a booking link within your confirmation email that will allow you to book your TARDIS tour (subject to availability).
Once you have booked your TARDIS Tour, you will be issued with a separate ticket to your Convention ticket. You will need to bring this ticket with you and show it to the steward before you board the coach. Failure to supply your ticket on the day will mean that you are not eligible to go on the tour.
TARDIS Tour Pick up point
Due to tight timings and security around the set it is not possible for visitors to make their own way to BBC Wales Studios – Upper Boat. All TARDIS tour attendees must use the coach service provided.
A coach service will run from outside the front of the Millennium Centre – the pick up and drop off point is Bute Place. As you come out of the venue doors, turn right and walk 50 yards.
