Led by the man who has worked on every Doctor Who episode since 2005, this session offered fans unrivalled knowledge on how scenes from some of the iconic episodes have been created with SFX supervisor Danny Hargreaves.
Visitors were warned to be prepared for the unexpected with live explosions and guest appearances from some of the Doctor’s most feared enemies…and it didn’t disappoint!
For the most daring fans, there was also an opportunity to step inside the Doctor’s shoes with some audience participation. Live demonstrations combined monsters and weapons as well as atmospheric effects including smoke, snow and fire.
Detailed commentary and explanations revealed how such effects are achieved and the processes involved. At the end of the session fans had the opportunity to pose their burning questions to Danny giving them further exclusive insight.
